Dubai Metro Timings

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has announced that the Dubai Metro Timings of Red Line and Green Lines are scheduled to operate from 3.00 am to 12 am on Sunday, November 10, 2024. This extra time is for those individuals who plan to join the Dubai Ride. Dubai Ride will return for its 5th edition on Sunday. This event is open to everyone, regardless if they are young or old.

The Dubai Ride routes opened to the public at 5 am. Cycling starts at 6.15 am. The 12km course for the challenge and the speed lanes will provide a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of high-speed biking on Sheikh Zayed Road. Participants are required to maintain 30kmph in order to join. It is also necessary to have a bike that can maintain this speed, as well as follow the instructions given by the Dubai Ride marshals. Careem and Dubai’s RTA have partnered to offer residents and visitors participating in the event free bikes.

Everything you need to know about Dubai Metro Timings

Dubai Metro’s timings and fares are available here. Also, you can find the prices and routes. Dubai Metro opened in 2009 and connected the city from Jebel Al in the South to Rashidiya at the Northern end of the Emirate, near Dubai International Airport. It changed the whole landscape of Dubai by offering affordable transportation to almost 5,000,000 residents.

Dubai Metro stations are split into two lines – the Green Line Metro and the Red Line Metro, with both underground and above-ground routes. The lifts in all stations are accessible at every level. The Dubai Metro offers free WiFi in all its cabins. (Like Oyster cards or MetroCards from New York or London), which contain a balance. The names of stations may not always be based on their geographic location.

Etisalat is a brand that sponsors many stations. Etisalat station, which is located in the Al Quasis Area, has a name named after it. You are looking for Dubai metro timetables today. RTA Dubai Metro timetables are available for the Red and Green Lines at weekends and during the week.

Metro tickets can be purchased in single, day and return passes or with a Nol smart card. For easy navigation around the city, the Roads and Transport Authority online Journey Planner is a great tool. It’s good to know that the Red Line stops at Terminal 1 of the Dubai International Airport and Terminal 3 in Terminal 3 are both located on the Red Line.

Look for signs for the Metro once you have your luggage and pay at the station. The maximum size of your luggage on a Dubai Metro is one large suitcase, which cannot exceed 81cm in length and width by 58cm in height. You may also carry a small bag up to 55cm wide by 38 cm high and 20cm deep.

Where do I buy Dubai Metro tickets?

dubai metro ticket

The Nol card or one-time train tickets can be purchased in all Dubai Metro and bus stations as well as at supermarkets Carrefour Spinneys Waitrose. If you want to add money to your Nol, either use vending machines at metro stations or go directly to the ticket counters.

What are the main Dubai Metro stations and zones?

Dubai Metro has currently two lines, the Red and the Green. The Red line begins at Centrepoint, formerly Rashidiya station. This is close to Dubai International Airport. This line mainly follows the city’s main highway Sheikh Zayed Road. At Jabal Ali Station, the Red line splits in two directions. It ends either at Expo 2020 at Expo City Dubai or UAE Exchange near the Jebel Ali Industries Area.

In 2024, the Red Line will be improved so that passengers won’t need to change trains at Jebel Al, because there are direct routes between Centrepoint, Expo 2020 and UAE Exchange. The Green line connects the Etisalat station located in Al Twar with the historic Dubai Creek. The Green Line allows you to see the cultural highlights of Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood Deira as well as Gold Souk.
